There are certain voices that simply stay with you, and Luke Kelly’s was undoubtedly one of them. His songs defined a generation, and on Saturday 25th July, we are bringing that incredible music to the clubhouse for a night you won’t want to miss.
We are absolutely thrilled to host Kevin Morrin and Abbeyfolk for a live tribute dedicated to the classic ballads, rebel songs, and unforgettable folk music of Luke Kelly and The Dubliners. Kevin brings decades of experience to these timeless tracks, and alongside Abbeyfolk, they play with the exact kind of respect, energy, and weight this music deserves. It is the kind of raw folk music that fills a room and stays with you long after the final note fades out.
There is also something incredibly fitting about hosting an evening like this right here at Abbeyleix Golf Club. Since 1895, our clubhouse has been a gathering place for the community. For 130 years, people have come together under this roof, and on the 25th of July, it will be exactly that again, plenty of laughter, and that brilliant, warm atmosphere that only proper Irish music can create. Whether you are bringing the whole family, coming down with a group of friends, or planning to catch up with fellow members, it is bound to be a special night.
Because our clubhouse is a smaller, intimate venue, tickets are strictly limited, and when they are gone, they are gone. Tickets are €20 each, so if you are thinking of coming, we highly recommend booking early to avoid missing out.
